Punch Press Operator jobs in Wilkes Barre, PA
Punch Press Operator configures and operates electrically powered presses to cut, shape, and form metal, plastic, or other materials used in manufacturing operations. Performs operations such as blanking, bending, punching, and forming based on blueprints and other instructions. Being a Punch Press Operator responsibilities include configuring equipment and calibrating gauge settings, recognizing condition of dies, loading materials onto the equipment, feeding material through die, and positioning and removing parts from the die. Keeps a record of operational data and performs routine equipment maintenance. Additionally, Punch Press Operator monitors work schedule to ascertain production information, such as size, type, and quantity to be processed. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Punch Press Operator works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. This person will set up and run a narrow web Mark Andy Press. Chaucer Press prints pressure-sensitive labels, cut and stack labels, extended content labels and flow wrap labels. Part of your responsibility will be to ensure the job is set up and running properly and checking quality throughout the run of printing labels. If you are an experienced label press operator and are driven to work with other great people and take pride in what you do, we want you!
We are currently hiring for 2nd shift 3pm - 11pm Monday through Friday
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating a narrow web flexo press
- Pay depends on experience level
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication and mathematical skills
- Be reliable with great work ethic
- Experience operating a Mark Andy machine is a bonus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.39 - $21.46 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 37.5 per week
