We are looking for a professional and motivated individual to join our team as a Regional Purchasing Agent.  Regional Purchasing Agents are responsible for purchasing machinery, equipment, tools, parts and supplies for the office, grounds, turnover and maintenance departments at the assigned communities.

What are the responsibilities of a Regional Purchasing Agent?

• Order supplies, appliances, pool supplies, upgrades, and other tools necessary for operational purposes.
• Maintain best pricing for inventory, supplies, and equipment by comparing costs of new and existing items among multiple vendors. Evaluate and select new vendors as needed.
• Adhere to all account budgets set by Divisional Leaders and Regional Facilities Managers.
• Receive orders and organize them into inventory as applicable.
• Manage and maintain SDS online account for company purchased chemicals.
• Maintain and organize purchase orders and inventory control documents.
• Record all purchase orders and receipts into the Yardi database.
• Maintain suppliers and vendors and review material quotes.
• Resolve issues with vendors and team members as well as represent the company by demonstrating sound judgment and conduct.
• Manage the purchasing process in the Yardi Voyager Database.
• Present the ability to work cooperatively with others.
• Must follow federal laws and fair housing regulations.

What are the role requirements?

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous experience in multi-family property management and knowledge of maintenance supplies and procedures is preferred.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office programs.
• Experience using Yardi Voyager or related property management software is preferred.
• Ability to professionally communicate both verbally and in writing is required.
• Must possess exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Must possess exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to use various technologies for online training and administrative purposes.
• Knowledge of Smartsheet software is preferred (if applicable, based on location).
• Must have an acceptable driving record and a valid driver’s license (if applicable, based on location).
• Must adhere to the team apparel policy.
• Regular attendance, work ethic and strong interpersonal skills are required for success in this position.
