Job Description Responsibilities:
· Interface with internal stakeholders to evaluate goods and services required and execute purchase orders to fulfill company and/or project needs and fulfill customer requests.
· Source and negotiate with suppliers based on price, availability, necessity, quality, and logistical expenses.
· Communicate and build professional relationships with vendors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
· Manage orders, track deliveries, and maintain accurate and organized records.
· Assess vendors and their offerings through in-person visits and analysis to assess quality of goods and services to established DVM quality standards.
· Negotiation of sale agreements and supply contracts to the benefit and profitability of DVM.
· Coordinate with shipping agencies and sellers to ensure timely deliveries.
· Authorize payments and manage purchasing expenses with meticulous record keeping.
· Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Experience, Qualifications and Required Skills:
· Bachelor’s degree a minimum of 5 years’ experience with procurement responsibilities in a manufacturing or construction environment.
· Strong knowledge of ERP systems.
· MS Office Suite experience.
· Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.
· Effective oral and written communication and business writing skills.
· Strong attention to detail.
· Effective time-management skills.
