Description

Work with our purchasing team on day-to-day activities. Act as a secondary point

of contact for new and current vendors. 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• Ensure the required paperwork for commodities contracts and suppliers is in place (i.e., purchase orders, certifications, vendor documents, etc.)
• Work with sales and partner facilities to keep up-to-date specs on file.
• Research new vendors
• When necessary, identify and procure customer samples for the sales team.
• Review contract balances weekly, and monthly and communicate instances of risk.
• Provide written reports/presentations to the Supervisor and other HFI personnel as requested.
• Work with Logistics, Plants, Accounting, Sales, and Quality Personnel to ensure customer needs are met.
• Assist other purchasing and crop production team members.
• Coordinate efforts of assigned special projects.
• Responsible for supporting the Procurement Team with assigned documentation needs.
• Assist in clearance documentation.

Requirements

• Ag background preferred but not necessary
• Proficient with Word and Excell
• Well-organized with an attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and decision-making skills
• Excellent written and verbal skills
• Team player with the ability to work well with others
