Expedites delayed orders and resolves issues with changes, returns, replacements, and credit arrangements. Additionally, Purchasing Clerk coordinates with internal teams to ensure that procurement needs are met promptly and efficiently. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or team leader. The Purchasing Clerk works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Established school supply distributor seeking a Purchasing Agent for school supplies in our Purchasing Department. Responsible for purchasing school supply items, sourcing new and existing products, inventory control, price negotiation with vendors, trade show attendance, selecting new products and catalog page design. Purchasing experience, interpersonal skills, inventory control knowledge, and computer experience is desirable, but not required. We will provide on the job training.
