Purchasing Clerk initiates, prepares, processes, and verifies purchase orders following established guidelines to purchase materials and goods by required delivery dates. Inputs transactions and administers a purchasing and contracts system or database. Being a Purchasing Clerk interacts with suppliers to obtain favorable pricing terms, product specifications, monitor availability, and optimize savings. Expedites delayed orders and resolves issues with changes, returns, replacements, and credit arrangements. Additionally, Purchasing Clerk coordinates with internal teams to ensure that procurement needs are met promptly and efficiently. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or team leader. The Purchasing Clerk works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Data Entry Clerk

  • Under general supervision, will provide data entry service to the Energy Services Intake Team.

    This position is full-time with full benefits and starts out between $18.50 - $21.00.       .

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Depends on assignment/role in department)

    • Inputting and updating client applications into a funder-supported database with precision and timeliness.
    • Thoroughly verify and correct any errors or inconsistencies in the entered data to maintain accuracy.
    • Maintaining strict confidentiality and security measures to safeguard all client data.
    • Organizing and managing both physical and electronic records for easy retrieval and maintenance.
    • Uploading and distributing client applications based on departmental protocols to designated intake staff for further processing.
    • Create and run comprehensive reports for tracking productivity for management and other agency data requirements.
    • Collaborating closely with team members to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
    • Strictly adhering to program policies and procedures regarding data entry and record-keeping practices.
    • Assisting in various administrative tasks as required to support overall operational efficiency.
    • Prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively to meet deadlines and maintain workflow efficiency.

    Knowledge, Skills and/or Ability Required 

    Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or equivalent and one (1) year of administrative experience or data entry experience. 

    Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Order processing systems; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software including Google Suite. 

    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Current valid California Driver's license and appropriate insurance per Agency requirements. Must have reliable transportation with an acceptable driving record as determined by the agency. 

    Other Skills and Abilities: Ability to speak and write fluent Spanish required. Must type 45 words per minute.
