Purchasing Clerk initiates, prepares, processes, and verifies purchase orders following established guidelines to purchase materials and goods by required delivery dates. Inputs transactions and administers a purchasing and contracts system or database. Being a Purchasing Clerk interacts with suppliers to obtain favorable pricing terms, product specifications, monitor availability, and optimize savings. Expedites delayed orders and resolves issues with changes, returns, replacements, and credit arrangements. Additionally, Purchasing Clerk coordinates with internal teams to ensure that procurement needs are met promptly and efficiently. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or team leader. The Purchasing Clerk works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. The Purchasing Operations Clerk will primarily support the Purchasing team, as well as backup assistance to the SE PrintShop and Shipping & Receiving. Everything will be done with the primary purpose of achieving the mission, vision, and strategies of Southeast Christian Church.
General Job Duties:
· At minimum 50% of time will be working with the Purchasing team
o Contacting vendors regarding billing/payment/tax issues
o Processing invoices/credit card receipts
o Handling returns/issues with orders
o Filling out credit applications
o Order pick-up from local vendors
· Backup for the SE PrintShop and Shipping & Receiving
o Operate high-volume copiers, large paper cutter and other PrintShop equipment
o Mail/package deliveries throughout Blankenbaker Campus
o Accepting deliveries from vendors
· Provide a great, helpful, and Christ-centered attitude to all
Essential Functions:
· Operational support for the Purchasing team
· Provide back-up assistance to the SE PrintShop and Shipping & Receiving as needed
· Provide excellent customer service

· Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, especially as pertains to Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel

· Able to lift or move 60 lbs. or greater

Required Education & Membership:
· High School Graduate
· Prior similar job experience
