What You'll Do

• Act as "our customer's best service provider" at all times thereby ensuring Convergint is the customer's first choice for service.
• Assist in the testing, programming and commissioning of fire alarm and life safety systems.
• Assist in the servicing of fire alarm and life safety systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems, programing of Fire Alarm Systems, schematics and operational/product manuals.
• Execute all work in accordance with local and national codes, general best practices as well as company health and safety policies and procedures.
  Act as our customers best service provider at all times thereby ensuring Convergint Technologies is the first choice for service.
  Communicate and work with the other team members consistently to improve overall operations of the Convergint Technology Center, and company.
  Keep up to date and informed on all company policies.
  Present a professional image of Convergint Technologies at all times in appearance and behavior.

What You'll Need

• Ability to administer and operate the organization's warehouse, including efficient shipping, receiving, processing, packaging, storing.

• Handle ordering of tools, supplies, materials and equipment.

• Utilize available inventory items or surplus material by verifying stock availability with logistics.
• Comfortability with obtaining quotes and negotiating costs with vendors that meet margin goals.

• Responsible for receiving and shipping parts in an efficient manner.

• Provide project and service support to field colleagues and supports office colleagues as needed.

• May provide support for fleet, safety and facilities management programs.

Requirements:

Education: High School/GED or equivalent experience

Minimum Experience: 2 years of purchasing experience

Preferred Experience: (but not required): Familiarity with security, fire and/or banking fields.
