Purchasing Clerk, Sr jobs in Denton, TX

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Purchasing Clerk to join our team. The Purchasing Clerk will be responsible for assisting with procurement activities, managing inventory, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.

Duties:
- Assist with the procurement process, including sourcing suppliers, obtaining quotes, and negotiating prices
- Create purchase orders and ensure accuracy of order details
- Track and monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels are maintained
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services
- Collaborate with internal teams to understand production planning needs and ensure availability of necessary materials
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier information
- Assist in resolving any issues or discrepancies related to orders or deliveries
- Continuously evaluate supplier performance and identify opportunities for improvement

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in purchasing or procurement preferred
- Knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices
- Familiarity with logistics and production planning processes
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
