Purchasing Clerk, Sr jobs in Wichita Falls, TX
Purchasing Clerk, Sr initiates, prepares, processes, and verifies purchase orders following established guidelines to purchase materials and goods by required delivery dates. Inputs transactions and administers a purchasing and contracts system or database. Being a Purchasing Clerk, Sr interacts with suppliers to obtain favorable pricing terms, product specifications, monitor availability, and optimize savings. Expedites delayed orders and resolves issues with changes, returns, replacements, and credit arrangements. Additionally, Purchasing Clerk, Sr coordinates with internal teams to ensure that procurement needs are met promptly and efficiently. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or team leader. The Purchasing Clerk, Sr works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Description
Purpose –
· To coordinate and manage all purchasing needs for our 8” & 12” press lines. To organize and manage all spare parts inventory, organize the parts room and schedule upcoming projects.
Duties –
· Identify & develop spare parts inventory
· Manage and keep supply room stocked & organized
· Schedule & coordinate parts for upcoming projects
· Work with the Purchasing Manager to develop a list of needed stock items
Requirements
Qualifications –
· Some technical skills preferred
· Basic knowledge in hydraulics, electrical and mechanical advantageous
· Extremely organized
· Self-Starter
· Multi Tasker
· Good communication skills
· Team Player
· Moderate computer skills, experience in using programs to manage systems
Other Info –
· Report directly to the purchasing manager
· Work closely with maintenance technicians for parts replacement and planning
· Work Schedule M-F 8:00 – 5:00. Extra time in the plant when needed
