The Role: 

The incumbent is responsible for the receipt, verification, processing and storage of goods received by the Company’s central purchasing department using a web-based purchasing and inventory system (Adaco) 

Responsibilities: 

• Using purchasing software to research anticipated and received orders 
• Printing receiving documents for incoming orders from purchasing system 
• Verifying receipt of items by comparing items received to invoices and purchase orders 
• Receiving loose and palletized freight in the warehouse 
• Separating received freight, using receiving documents, to prepare outgoing deliveries to ordering departments 
• Maintaining electronic record of all freight received and inventory stored at the warehouse 
• Registering received products into purchasing system 
• Resolving shipments in error by communicating with purchasing agents, delivery drivers, freight companies, and vendors 
• Organizing warehouse and helping to maintain clean work areas  
• Creating and updating data related to products and vendors into database 
• Reporting any errors in purchasing system to support team and escalating problems to manager immediately 
• Adhering to all Corporate Policies and Procedures 
• Performing special projects as requested 
• May be asked to work in the field, assisting with physical organization of products for gathering data, performing inventory and entering products in purchasing software and Excel. 

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: 

• Must possess attention to detail, positive attitude, oral and written communication skills, and solid decision-making skills 
• Previous experience in Accounting or Purchasing not necessary 
• Ability to work conscientiously and meet deadlines; must exhibit a sense of urgency for the tasks at hand 

Education and/or Experience: 

• High School Diploma/GED required 
• At least 2 years of work experience reflecting stable work history and good attendance record 

Language Skills: 

Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to effectively respond to questions from managers, clients, customers and the general public.  Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. 

Physical Requirements: 

• Requires visual acuity and ability to hear to clearly communicate with managers, coworkers, guests and vendors 
• Must be able to sit for extended periods of time
