About the Role
As Purchasing Manager, you will oversee all aspects of the procurement process, including vendor management, contract negotiation, and inventory control. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in purchasing and supply chain management, with the ability to effectively manage a team and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize cost savings and efficiency
- Source and evaluate potential vendors, negotiate contracts, and establish long-term relationships
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their purchasing needs and requirements
- Monitor inventory levels and implement inventory control measures to minimize stockouts and excess inventory
- Oversee the procurement process from purchase order creation to delivery confirmation
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards in all purchasing activities
- Manage a team of purchasing professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and market conditions to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
Who we are looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Purchasing Manager or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of vendor management systems and inventory control techniques
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable terms and pricing
- Familiarity with contract management principles and practices
- Proficient in logistics coordination and understanding of MRP (Material Requirements Planning)
