Position Overview:

As a Purchasing Manager at Watkins Heating & Cooling, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the cost-efficiency and timely availability of HVAC products, parts, and tools. Your responsibilities will include working with suppliers, managing inventory levels, and optimizing procurement processes to support our service department's needs effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze inventory needs for warehouses and technicians to ensure readiness and efficiency, reducing operational waste.
• Efficiently manage HVAC part requests and warranty claims, ensuring accuracy, best prices, and prompt delivery for optimal service.
• Work with technicians to develop and deliver quotes on special order repair parts for customers.
• Foster strong relationships with suppliers and technicians, enhancing communication and collaboration to improve service outcomes and customer satisfaction.
• Address and resolve any issues related to orders, deliveries, or supplier relationships promptly.

What We're Looking For:

• 2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management, ideally within the HVAC industry.
• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC products, parts, and tools, including various brands and their applications preferred.
• Excellent customer service and phone skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in procurement software, inventory management systems, and Microsoft Office/Google G-suite.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with a knack for building and maintaining positive supplier and team relationships.
• Demonstrated ability to ensure cost-efficiency and maintain operational effectiveness during peak periods through strategic use of technology and planning.
