Being a Purchasing Manager collaborates with other functions to define current and future inventory requirements and manage inventory levels. Brooks Range Supply is needing to find a professional and customer-focused Purchasing Agent for our operations on the North Slope in the Deadhorse Aviation Center (DAC). In this position, you will be responsible for researching and sourcing necessary parts and products, anticipating business needs, tracking inventory, and maintaining vendor relationships in support of our business.
The Purchasing Agent will procure supplies, equipment and services, reviewing requisition requests, prepare purchase orders and solicit bids for goods and services. The Purchasing Agent will also purchase goods and services according to Brooks Range Supply and organizational policies and procedures. This is a slope-based position and does require a Rotational Schedule commitment (2x2 or 3x3).
A day-to-day in this position will include researching goods and products, locating suppliers and soliciting services with purchase orders. Most interactions will be over-the-phone, but some in-person interactions should be expected. For all interactions the Purchasing Agent will be welcoming in a friendly and sincere manner, anticipating customer needs, and exceeding expectations to provide an exceptional experience from beginning to end.
