Position Overview:
Purchasing Manager will play a crucial role in managing our procurement process, ensuring the timely acquisition of materials and resources necessary for our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in strategic sourcing, vendor management, and supply chain optimization.
Basic Skills

· Writes purchases orders and sends copy to supplier, verifies delivery dates and pricing
· Follows up with the vendors regarding delivery dates, prices, and specifications. Informs Plant Manager and Sales Department anticipated delivery of items ordered
· Communicate with various factories on order status, shipping procedures and credit issues
· Controls turnover costs as well as damages
· Processes Bill of Lading and Purchase Orders
· Assists in purchasing of VCE products and IAS consign stock products
· Finding and negotiating with suppliers to maintain the facility as set by the standards of Management
· Assist in entering receiving paperwork into computer and process
· Keep track of and report damages within assigned department
· Process vendor defects and in house damages
· Searches inventory records or warehouse to determine if material on hand is in sufficient quantity
· Coordinates physical inventory procedure with the President, Operations, Plant Manager and Customer Service
· Collaborate inventory counts and physical inventory to ensure accuracy
· Responsible for the final inventory data entry for reconciliation
· Will be responsible for learning and conveying information on several product lines/vendors and will do so over the phone, via fax, or email
· Must be available to attend trade shows when needed, and accompany management to customer’s work sites on an occasional basis including in state and out of state locations
· Keep a calendar and schedule time for planning
· Constantly reviews purchasing patterns, processes analysis, cash flows, and storage space requirements and reviews with Operations Manager, Plant Manager, and President.
· Assists in verifying bills from suppliers
· Data enters new model numbers and Bill of Materials
· Must have strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Publisher, email and internet
· Must be able to multi-task and operate in a busy office environment with professionalism.
· Must be able to operate a multi-line phone system, a copier, fax, and computer
Leadership Skills
· Maintains a level of professional, business standards at all times, i.e. follows appropriate dress code, no swearing or inappropriate behavior towards co-workers, management, vendors or customers
· On a daily basis keeps on task, maintains factory component levels, prioritizes vendor correspondence and coordinates with President, Operations Manager, and Plant Manager Attends all required meetings and trainings
