Purchasing Manager manages procurement and purchasing operations and implements the strategy to provide the materials and services to meet organizational requirements for quality, volume, availability, and pricing. Maintains strategic supplier relationships, negotiates contracts, and implements systems for monitoring performance, assessing risk, and responding to changes in demand or disruptions in the supply chain. Job Description
To effectively manage all aspects of restaurant purchasing including but not limited to purchasing, procurement, and inventory systems. Other tasks include monitoring adherence to all laws and safety guidelines along with analyzing and evaluating costs, sourcing goods and materials and reporting information to ownership and management.
Requirements
· Minimum three years in purchasing or procurement role, preferably in the food industry.
· Dedication to excellent food quality and ensuring compliance with all health, safety and safe food handling practices. California Food Handlers card is required for all food service employees who prepare, store and serve food.
· Analytical thinker with a positive attitude and flexibility to accommodate evolving business needs.
· Excellent attention to detail, self-starter with the ability to learn, grow, and adapt quickly.
· Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain vendor relations.
· Experience with CTUIT Radar or other all-in-one restaurant management software.
· Excel knowledge is required.
· Bilingual- English/Spanish skills helpful, but not required.
