Purchasing Manager manages procurement and purchasing operations and implements the strategy to provide the materials and services to meet organizational requirements for quality, volume, availability, and pricing. Maintains strategic supplier relationships, negotiates contracts, and implements systems for monitoring performance, assessing risk, and responding to changes in demand or disruptions in the supply chain. Being a Purchasing Manager collaborates with other functions to define current and future inventory requirements and manage inventory levels. Implements processes and systems and utilizes technical tools to analyze data and increase responsiveness to material demands. Additionally, Purchasing Manager oversees auditing processes to ensure procurement and recordkeeping comply with any applicable industry or governmental regulations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Purchasing Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Purchasing Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     The Opportunity:  The Customer Segmentation Manager will be responsible for analyzing the buyer, prospect, and registrant files to identify and create unique segmentation opportunities for inbound & outbound marketing, promotion, and suppression that will drive gains in our major KPIs.  This includes registration, activation, and rebuy rates that leads to file growth and improved customer lifetime value (CLV). This role is part of our strategic initiative around Personalization and the individual will be a Customer Data Platform (CDP) super user, working jointly with the business owners of our CRM systems, data science teams, promotions/testing planning, and digital and direct-to-consumer marketing channels to test and rollout fully integrated personalized marketing strategies.

    What You Will Do:

    • Work closely with data scientists, and the CRM/database team to identify key predictors and patterns in user behavior to gather data-driven insights leading to personalized content optimization
    • Create targetable segments, review data quality and ensure strong execution, that align with user preferences and behavior identified through predictive analytics
    • Partner with campaign and promotion teams and marketing channel owners to develop and implement personalization strategies that drive customer engagement and improve main KPIs: registration, activation, CLV, margin rates, etc.
    • Define and deliver the optimal segment marketing plan and campaigns within the assigned Segment, focusing on driving increased engagement and demand generation
    • Manage segment value proposition and messaging guidelines, translating research and segment needs into business insights, with in-depth understanding of customers, products, and clients/industries
    • Design and oversee the implementation of automated marketing workflows to increase conversion and drive customer retention by enhancing the customer experience
    • Building a database of prospects and customers, defining and executing ongoing customer contact strategies, and managing customer related events such as lifecycle and user groups
    • Design and oversee execution of integrated A/B test/retest/rollout strategy to determine personalization effectiveness and enhance strategies based on performance KPIs
    • Own segment-level monitoring and regularly report on segment size, segment migration, and CLV growth/decline
    • Measure the performance of integrated personalization efforts and regularly report on its impact on business KPIs
    • Oversee the off-shore analyst supporting analytics and reporting
    • Collaborate with the off-shore production designer to develop a CMS library for personalized and targeted content for delivery across channels

    The Experience You Will Bring:

    • Bachelor’s degree in business, analytics, marketing, or related field
    • 5 years of experience in customer data, data wrangling and segmentation development
    • Experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
    • Experience working with multiple systems to pull data into unified or aggregate view and perform data analysis using SAS/SQL and visualization tools such as Tableau
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data sets to determine trends, establish strategies, and make decisions
    • Strong data quality orientation
    • Creative thinker with growth, insight and solution mindset

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Digital marketing experience (Meta, Google, Bing) including file ad manager, Google Ads, and file uploading
    • Customer data platform (CDP) experience, preferably SAP
    • Experience with Adobe Analytics and Adobe Target
