Purchasing Supervisor supervises daily procurement and purchasing operations and implements the strategy to provide the materials and services to meet organizational requirements for quality, volume, availability, and pricing. Maintains strategic supplier relationships, negotiates pricing, monitors performance, and expedites to respond to changes in demand or disruptions in the supply chain. Being a Purchasing Supervisor collaborates with other functions to meet current and future inventory requirements and manage inventory levels. Utilizes technical tools to analyze data and increase responsiveness to material demands. Additionally, Purchasing Supervisor performs auditing processes to ensure procurement and recordkeeping comply with any applicable industry or governmental regulations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Purchasing Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs.     Your Responsibilities as Purchasing Manager

    You’ll be responsible for working directly with our sales teams in forecasting demand and securing materials and parts inventory levels to meet the needs of sales, while ensuring proper control over our investment in inventory. This position serves as a lead role, ensuring proper management of inventory through maintenance of a portfolio of suppliers, and routinely adding to the portfolio of suppliers. More details about the responsibilities are:

    • Establish performance goals related to dales sales in inventory and monitoring out-of-stock and slow-moving items.
    • Work directly with sales to properly forecast demand and advise on financial and operational impact of purchase requests outside of normal forecasted demand.
    • Maintain all system related functions and create purchase orders, following the purchasing cycle through receipt of inventory and invoicing. Work with warehouse receiving personnel on missed shipments, unsaleable items, breakage, etc and file all claims with suppliers and carriers as needed.
    • Maintain and support all purchasing reports and insure they integrate with information maintained in other company information systems. Maintains data integrity for all materials and parts.
    • Review and analyze monthly inventory investment by supplier; work with historic reports to determine current and longer-term needs. Provide analyses and reporting on inventory, aged inventory, and unsaleable inventory and suggest appropriate actions.
    • Coordinate capacity with freight carriers and ensure freight rates are regularly reviewed.

    Pay Details are as follows:

    $60,000 to $80,000 depending on experience.

    The position is eligible for a quarterly bonus program.

    • Preferred candidates to have a bachelor's degree.
    • 5 to 7 years' experience in purchasing or logistics.
    • Is analytical by nature.
    • Comfortable negotiating with vendors
    • Able to pass a drug test.
    • Someone who takes pride in their work.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Salary: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
