The Purchasing Manager at H&H Molds plays a pivotal role in overseeing the seamless flow of raw materials, ensuring operational efficiency, and supporting program launches. This leadership position involves managing procurement processes, maintaining inventory accuracy, and fostering the professional growth of the Material Handlers and Shipping & Receiving Supervisor.
Duties & Responsibilities:
· Procuring and coordinating delivery of raw materials
· Ensuring accurate receiving of materials and meticulous paperwork verification
· Acting as the primary liaison with vendors to optimize inventory levels and pricing
· Organizing and managing raw materials and finished goods
· Overseeing cycle counting and quarterly physical inventories
· Developing Standard Work and Work Instructions for Material Handler job functions
· Purchasing indirect equipment and supplies
o Responsible for administering the consumable Kanban system
· Collaborating with the Program Manager to launch new programs and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) in IQMS
· Supporting Shipping activities, as needed
· Regularly auditing BOMs for accuracy
· Enforcing adherence to established 5S Standard Work
· Providing support to company leadership as needed
