Purchasing Supervisor supervises daily procurement and purchasing operations and implements the strategy to provide the materials and services to meet organizational requirements for quality, volume, availability, and pricing. Maintains strategic supplier relationships, negotiates pricing, monitors performance, and expedites to respond to changes in demand or disruptions in the supply chain. Being a Purchasing Supervisor collaborates with other functions to meet current and future inventory requirements and manage inventory levels. Utilizes technical tools to analyze data and increase responsiveness to material demands. Additionally, Purchasing Supervisor performs auditing processes to ensure procurement and recordkeeping comply with any applicable industry or governmental regulations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Purchasing Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Purchasing Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Columbia Valley Community Health (CVCH) is growing! CVCH is a dynamic, progressive community health center with locations in Wenatchee, East Wenatchee, and Chelan. We have an excellent opportunity for a Purchasing Specialist at our Wenatchee location.
The Purchasing Specialist's primary job function is to take inventory, create electronic requisitions, create purchase orders and deliver supplies. During order creation they verify specifications, confer with suppliers, and process documentation related to purchase of supplies for the agency. Consults with both internal and external customers, interacts closely with suppliers in a manner consistent with CVCH policies and procedures, and in support of providing the highest quality care to CVCH clients. Provides administrative assistance to the Purchasing Lead or Controller.
Position Requirements:
· Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
· Certification/Licensure: N/A
· Experience: One year experience in purchasing or related business experience preferred. Previous work experience in a medical facility preferred.
· Language Skills: Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
