The selected candidate will be a Deputy Program Director for Electric Boat's Special Emphasis Programs (SEPs). The candidate will report directly to the Quality Assurance and Special Emphasis Program Director.Primary responsibility is to ensure compliance with the requirements of the Special Emphasis Program manuals (SUBSAFE - NAVSEA 0924-062-0010, DSS-SOC - NAVSEA SS800-AG-MAN-010 P-9290 and the FBW/SCS - NAVSEA T9044-AD-MAN-010) and maintain the program such that processes, procedures, and work practices are in place and followed with the appropriate rigor and awareness to successfully certify submarines for service. Selected candidate will be expected to support Special Emphasis Program certification events (audits and surveys) for all ship classes. This effort includes, and is not limited to scheduling and coordination of audit events and adjudication of audit findings. Frequent interaction with senior EB and NAVSEA leadership is required, as well as with Program Offices, Engineering, Design, and Operations personnel. Selected candidate will be expected to support certification events occurring nights, weekends and holidays, as required. The selected candidate will provide support to other SEP Deputies as necessary and participate in scheduling,coordination and execution of Functional Audits. Some business travel is required.
