    The Intermediate Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for leading test planning, managing test data and environments, test lab infrastructure, test automation, process ownership, production issue follow up and client testing assistance.

    Principle Accountabilities:

    • Test Planning: Lead test planning by contributing insights to shape test strategies, define the scope of testing and provide accurate time estimates for timely testing completion.
    • Managing Test Data and Environments: Take charge of test data set maintenance to ensure their relevance and accuracy. Establish and maintain test environments, ensuring hardware and software alignment with the production setup.
    • Test Lab infrastructure: Build a customized test lab infrastructure that aligns with the specific project requirements, customized and aligned with the specific needs of the projects.
    • Software and Hardware Testing: Execute a variety of test types, including Functional, Regression, Smoke, Software-update, Hardware, Promotion Content and Performance testing, using tools such as TestRail, QMetry or similar software. Ensure project objectives, client user requirements, and company goals are met. Assist with comprehensive UAT testing.
    • Test Automation: Involved in proposing, editing, and crafting automation test scripts. Proficient in writing simple scripts to automate repetitive tasks using tools like Cypress and JavaScript or similar.
    • Defect Management: Take ownership of defect management processes, including providing log information or other relevant data, triaging, tracking, and resolution. Utilize Tableau Analytics to evaluate the possible impact of the reported issues.
    • Documentation: Actively participate in crafting and maintaining crucial test documentation, encompassing test plans, test cases, and verification checklists for both functionality and content. Utilize collaborative tools like Jira, Test Rail, QMetry, and Confluence to enhance the efficiency of documentation processes. Enhance training documentation for Junior QA Analysts with your expertise, fostering continuous learning.
    • Release management: Navigate release management processes with precision, prioritizing meticulous documentation utilizing tools such as Confluence and Jira, and actively participating in thorough pre-release testing. Collaborate seamlessly with team members across levels, actively contributing to the refinement of release coordination practices.
    • Production Issue Follow-up: Follow up on issues that may arise in production, conduct thorough investigations, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement timely and effective resolutions.
    • Process Ownership: Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to optimizing testing procedures. Demonstrate full ownership of understanding application functionality, cultivating confident knowledge of its components. Foster a deep understanding of the system architecture, empowering you to make informed decisions and contribute effectively to the QA process.
    • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to maintain and elevate quality standards across the projects.
    • Client Testing Assistance: Collaborate with other QA teams and assist in the testing of various clients, not limited to the project initially assigned. Provide support in understanding client requirements and ensuring that testing efforts meet their specific needs.

    Basic & Preferred Qualifications:

    • Flexibility to work Pacific Standard Time (PST) when needed to accommodate client
    • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Computer Science is preferred; Will also accept equivalent practical experience in IT.
    • Minimum 2 years in Software Quality Assurance
    • Familiar with HTML, CSS, JSON, Windows OS, Mac OS, Web applications, Development tools, Postman
    • Basic knowledge of JavaScript, Tableau Analytics and SQL for database testing, Linux commands, networking and IPs, Cypress or similar automation frameworks
    • High degree of attention to detail and accuracy
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Ability to work independently or as a team
