POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the QA & Compliance Analyst, the candidate will be responsible to ensure all affiliated processing plants in the western U.S. adhere to food safety guidelines, USDA regulations, state standards, customer certification requirements, and maintenance of Good Manufacturing Practices. A primary function will be to audit facilities during visits (in person or remote) identify and notify the plant manager of deficiencies and ensure corrective actions were implemented. Oversee maintenance of SQFI system, customer certifications along with other required certification bodies are performed.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively to customers, vendors, and employees.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Basic mathematical principles (i.e. addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division). Ability to compile and analyze data.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Must be computer literate and possess proficient skill level in Microsoft applications. Ability to learn and perform functions on a variety of computer database programs.
REASONING ABILITY
Must be able to apply common sense understanding to interpret and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral and diagram form. The ability to deal with problems involving several variables in a variety of different situations is essential. Must also possess the ability to problem solve and work independently. Ability to organize and prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
