Responsibilities:
- Ensuring compliance with current regulations
- Working with production associates daily to ensure quality measures are being followed
- Monitoring and reporting on all activities, processes, and procedures
- Assist in developing internal auditing tools and conducting internal audits and reports
- Assisting in determining data-driven solutions and implementing quality improvement plans
- Performing regular inspections and reviews to ensure employees adhere to quality and safety policies
- Assisting with regulatory and quality training sessions
- Preparing and maintaining quality management documentation
- Manage GMP repackaging and relabeling activities
- Manage customer claims and minimize resolution time by increasing communication between account managers, operations, production, and the customer
- Monitor associates' performance against established performance metrics to determine level of adherence to company and procedures
- Provide training to employees to promote understanding with OSHA compliance and safety orient behavior
- Ensure procedures remain in compliance with all federal, state, and local requirements for environmental and safety standards
- Perform internal audits and prepare documentation for FDA/Dept. of Agriculture investigation/visits
- Prepare pertinent documentation for FDA and other regulatory agency submission
- Support internal and external regulatory inspections by identifying and proving request GMP documentation
- Provide technical assistance, training and increased oversight when/if violations occur
- Must be a constant presence on the production floor to inspect product for quality on all levels
- Degree in a related field
- SQF certification (or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire)
- 2 years of experience working with quality systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality management systems
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and public speaking skills
- Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational skills
