Quality Assurance Director- Healthcare is responsible for overseeing the quality management and quality improvement programs for a healthcare facility. Directs quality assurance and compliance functions. Being a Quality Assurance Director- Healthcare ensures that policies and initiatives are efficient, meet patient expectations and are updated to reflect regulatory changes. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Quality Assurance Director- Healthcare requires a certification of registered nurse. Typically reports to a top management. The Quality Assurance Director- Healthcare manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Quality Assurance Director- Healthcare typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience.     We are adding a Quality Assessment Registered Nurse to our team!

    Here at Legacy Hospice, we hire highly talented and uniquely qualified nurses to provide exceptional oversight of our QAPI program and policies. Our QAPI nurses assess the collection, monitor, and submit quality measures that meet regulatory, accreditation, and standards of practice. Legacy Hospice expects our employees to communicate with compassion and empathy with their patients, families, and the communities we serve.

    Qualifications:

    1. Registered nurse with current licensure to practice professional nursing in the State.
    2. Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited program by the National League for Nursing.
    3. Three (3) to five (5) year's clinical nursing experience. (An emphasis on in-home care/hospice nursing is preferred).
    4. Excellent understanding of infectious disease control and prevention, performance improvement, quality assessment, and utilization management.
    5. Is self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision.
    6. Effective social interaction, communication, organizational skills and the ability to perform various tasks efficiently.
    7. Valid driver's license required due to travel requirement.
    8. Carry personal auto liability insurance coverage.

    Once you join the Legacy family, you will proceed with our training program along with support and resources from our leadership team.

    Within the first month, you will:

    • Get to know your team and become acclimated to the hospice philosophy.
    • Complete online training with your team.
    • Shadow your team members to learn more about hands-on hospice care

    We allow a flexible onboarding schedule to enable you to move at a pace that you are comfortable with. If you have any questions at any time during training, always feel free to ask your Branch Administrator or team members.
