Quality Assurance Director- Healthcare is responsible for overseeing the quality management and quality improvement programs for a healthcare facility.   • GEM Technologies, Inc. (GEM) is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. This position is full-time and will serve the Portsmouth Site in Piketon, OH.



    Requirements: 
    • High School Diploma and 3 years of relevant experience.
    • Basic interpersonal/communication skills.
    • Basic PC skills including Microsoft applications.
    • Detail oriented.

    Clearance Level Required:
    Uncleared - Must be able to obtain and maintain a Clearance

    Overview:
    • Responsible for initial preparation of quality assurance documents and procedures and assisting all levels of division or project personnel in quality related matters.
    • May perform surveillances and inspections in accordance with the applicable site or department procedure. Provide the results of these assessments to line management.
    • May inspect material and equipment for compliance to purchase order specification and/or applicable quality requirements..
    • Assists in the preparation of project audit schedules, discipline activity plans for the QA function, and audit reports (internal and external), noting nonconformance and verifying effective corrective action.
    • Assists project management in developing an orientation program to ensure project teams are familiar with the requirements of the Project Quality Plan.
    • Acts as a quality program assessor and may follow up on assessment findings and corrective actions.
    • Responsible for initial preparation of quality assurance documents and procedures and assisting all levels of division or project personnel in contractor assurance related matters.
    • May perform surveillances, inspections and assessments in accordance to the applicable site or department procedure.
    • Provide the results of these assessments to line management.
    • Assists in the maintenance of project QA records for all phases of the project.
    • Knowledge is obtained on a continuing developmental level.
    • Provides assigned administrative or functional support to the management team.
    • Performs duties moderately complex in nature.
    • Other job related duties as assigned.
    • Maintains knowledge of and demonstrates ability to perform work safely in accordance with all approved safety policies, procedures and applicable regulations and performs assigned duties in a safe manner.
    • Actively participates in Safety Work Groups.

    Clearance & Citizenship Requirement:
    • To be considered, you must be able to obtain and maintain a government issued clearance, if needed.
    • Due to the nature of the work, a U.S. Citizenship is required

    About the Site:

    The DOE's Portsmouth Site, located in Piketon, Ohio, strives to effectively implement EM responsibilities, obligations and activities to accomplish environmental remediation actions in compliance with regulatory milestones and agreements; disposition legacy and newly generated waste; implement Cold Shutdown requirements; disposition of depleted uranium hexafluoride cylinders; and perform Decontamination and Decommissioning (energy.gov).
