Quality Assurance Director is responsible for the implementation of policies and procedures to ensure adherence to production quality standards. Monitors and audits process, material, and product testing against established standards and conducts a continuous analysis of quality defects and deviations. Being a Quality Assurance Director identifies deficiencies or gaps in testing activities and develops solutions to ensure adequate and robust quality processes. Optimizes processes to comply with existing and new regulatory requirements. Additionally, Quality Assurance Director typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Quality Assurance Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Quality Assurance Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     Summary:

     

    The Quality Assurance Analyst will work in the Information Technology team and conduct manual and automated testing of the software from a functional and user perspective. This is a dynamic, multi-tasking environment with agile development lifecycles, so the ability to quickly adapt is a must. This position requires effective collaboration to achieve timely deliverables with high performance, scalability and reliability of the service. This position reports to a Sr IT leader. We are looking for a highly self-motivated and energetic individual to fill this role.

    Responsibilities

     

    Responsibilities:

     

    • Collaborate with software developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and specifications.
    • Review processes and recommend updates to best practices and process.
    • Lead QA team members in quality best practices and define standards for use of JIRA and JIRA test manager.
    • Design and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to identify software defects and ensure that all product functionalities are working as intended.
    • Perform functional, integration, regression, and performance testing to ensure the overall quality of software releases.
    • Identify, document, and track bugs using bug tracking tools, and work with the development team to resolve issues in a timely manner.
    • Participate in the design and development of automated test frameworks and test suites to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the testing process.
    • Conduct and be responsible for root cause analysis of identified issues and provide recommendations for process improvements.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that quality standards are met throughout the software development lifecycle.
    • Stay updated with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and quality assurance trends to continuously enhance your skills and knowledge.

    Qualifications

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field or prior work experience can substitute for a degree.
    • Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and practices.
    • Experience or knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
    • Familiarity with testing tools, bug tracking systems, and test management software.
    • Basic programming skills in languages like Java, Python, or C .
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

     

    Education and/or Experience   

    • 3-5 years minimum work experience as a QA Engineer/Analyst
    • Experience with worker’s compensation systems is a plus.
    • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent educational/work experience.
    • Ability to share and quickly learn new quality assurance testing concepts.
    • Above average knowledge of Microsoft office.
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
    • Ability to work in a highly demanding environment where teamwork is a must.
    • Handle multiple projects simultaneously, learns new applications quickly, and tests on a variety of platforms.
    • Able to perform all of the regular functions commonly required in quality assurance testing.
    • Experience with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium).
    • Knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and web application testing.
    • Understanding of database concepts and SQL.

                                                                                                        

    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

    • Certification in software testing (ISTQB, CSTE) is a plus.
