Quality Assurance Director is responsible for the implementation of policies and procedures to ensure adherence to production quality standards. Monitors and audits process, material, and product testing against established standards and conducts a continuous analysis of quality defects and deviations. Being a Quality Assurance Director identifies deficiencies or gaps in testing activities and develops solutions to ensure adequate and robust quality processes. Optimizes processes to comply with existing and new regulatory requirements. Additionally, Quality Assurance Director typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Quality Assurance Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Quality Assurance Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     Our client is looking for an outgoing individual who will provide quality assurance support to the product development team, resolving bugs, defects, and other potential issues and ensuring that products meet customer specifications.

    ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Reviews design plans, process procedures, test procedures, and quality manuals to understand the scope, requirements, and function of products.
    • Ensures products meet the organization's and customers' quality and product integrity requirements.
    • Supports product development or operations team by providing analysis and expertise throughout the inspection process.
    • Identifies root causes of problems in the production process; recommends and/or implements corrective measures.
    • Analyzes data to identify trends in product quality or defects with the goal of mitigating and preventing recurrence and future defects.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to learn the organization's production processes.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to serve as a liaison with developers, project managers, and customer support.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
    • Bachelor's degree, or higher, in Electrical Engineering or related Engineering discipline.
    • 0-2 years experience as a Quality Engineer in aerospace or other regulated industry.
