We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Quality Assurance to join our team. As the Director of Quality Assurance, you will be responsible for ensuring that our food products meet the highest standards of quality and compliance with USDA and FDA regulations. This is a critical role in our organization, as quality assurance is essential to maintaining our reputation and customer satisfaction. Food Manufacturing background is a must.
Duties:
- Develop and implement quality assurance policies and procedures to ensure compliance with USDA and FDA regulations and industry standards
- Oversee all aspects of quality control, including quality inspections, product testing, and documentation
- Lead quality audits to identify areas for improvement and develop corrective action plans
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to fabricate and analyze data related to product quality
- Establish and maintain a robust QA/QC program to monitor and evaluate product performance
- Provide guidance and training to staff on quality assurance processes and procedures
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in quality management practices
Skills:
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Extensive experience in quality assurance, preferably in a manufacturing or pharmaceutical environment
- In-depth knowledge of USDA, FDA regulations, CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices), and other relevant industry standards
- Proficient in conducting quality inspections and implementing quality control measures
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends or areas for improvement
- Strong leadership abilities with the capability to effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams

Quality Assurance / Quality Control Manager.
HACCP Coordinator.
BRC Coordinator.
Lead all the audits performed my Customers, Auditors, USDA, FDA, BRC.
CUSTOMERS - Complaints – Investigate the cause and send Corrective and Preventive actions.
Send all the information on the products/ingredients when Customers request: Specifications, Country of Origin, GMOs / BE, Treatment, Nutritional, Questionnaires, Slaughter Certificates, Allergens, COI, any kind of information.
Review / revise all the programs on the QA Manual.
Leads the monthly QST Meetings.
Review and sign daily HACCP and Pre-Op records.
Coordinate Training, Validations, Verifications.
Investigate and Inform if there are changes from Customers, FDA, USDA (regulations or changes).
Maintain updated the Risk Assessments for: Products, Ingredients, Training, Practices, Biosecurity, Production, Testing, New Equipment.
Investigate when we have high micros or positives sites or products.
Help / Guide Sanitation Department.
Track all portals for customers.
Help with COAs
Coordinate Testing , Shelf-Life of new products, create the Flow Chart, and monitor the chemical analysis of the first three runs, and report results
