Quality Assurance Director is responsible for the implementation of policies and procedures to ensure adherence to production quality standards. Monitors and audits process, material, and product testing against established standards and conducts a continuous analysis of quality defects and deviations. Being a Quality Assurance Director identifies deficiencies or gaps in testing activities and develops solutions to ensure adequate and robust quality processes. Optimizes processes to comply with existing and new regulatory requirements. Additionally, Quality Assurance Director typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Quality Assurance Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Quality Assurance Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. If so, Modern Woodmen is looking for a Quality Assurance Analyst to work closely with Project Managers, Business Analysts, Subject Matter Experts, and Developers to ensure business objectives for each project are met. You will do this by helping them define, develop, and document project testing requirements for the purpose of creating, executing, and maintaining test cases. You will act as a champion for the importance of quality assurance and user acceptance testing in all implementations and promote consistency and transparency in the process.

    Responsibilities:

    • Write, modify, and execute test cases; monitor bug resolution efforts and track results and known defects.
    • Perform/facilitate testing and routinely communicate with individuals and groups on project test progress, issues, and solutions.
    • Work closely with user departments, Information Technology, and Quality Assurance staff to develop, define and document project test requirements.
    • Ensure business & technical requirements, system goals, and potential known or unknown issues will be thoroughly analyzed through the testing process.
    • Facilitate continuous testing in a quality assurance environment to detect issues and ensure requirements are met prior to production release.
    • Create and maintain detailed technical documentation according to stated objectives and methods.
    • Utilize verbal and written communication strategies to effectively create and relay messages on quality assurance processes, methods, tools, and project details.
    • Understand, communicate, and incorporate organizational knowledge and objectives from a developer and end user perspective into daily work processes based on organizational needs and constraints.
    • Develop, enact, and manage testing schedules, ensuring that the QA team meets expectations and deadlines.
    • Prepare test strategy and summary documentation independently.
    • Assist in leading COE discussions.
    • Through research, present new testing technologies and techniques for execution and reporting based on project needs for review.
    • Lead small teams.
    • Assist in the implementation of QA Strategic Goals with senior staff and management.

    What we need:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field or equivalent work experience.
    • 5 years in quality assurance or related field preferred.
    • Strong detail orientation.
    • Leadership skills.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills.
    • Resourcefulness and creativity in problem resolution.
    • Ability to work in a dynamic environment with changing priorities.
    • Experience using Microsoft Office products, Azure Dev Ops (ADO) or a similar application lifecycle management tool.
    • Knowledge in the API and mobile testing space preferred.
    • Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies.

    What we offer:

    • Pay: The hourly pay for this position is $34.00-$38.00. The specific rate will depend on the successful candidate’s qualifications and prior experience.
    • Work Arrangements: This is a full-time hybrid position: 37.5 hours per week (7.5 hours per day), Monday- Friday, with flexible start time between 7:00AM-9:00AM. Hybrid positions work at least 3 days in office and the remaining days each week working from home. Employees beginning to work in a new hybrid role will be asked to work on-site (5 days a week) during the initial training period which may be up to 1 year.
