RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides leadership, direction, and administration in all aspects of Quality Resource Management Department
Measurement Tool:
1. Assists in implementation of CQI/PI projects.
2. Communicates with and serves on department committees to inform members of issues relating to monitoring/evaluation of activities.
3. Supervises functions of QRM, maintain adherence to defined departmental policies and procedures.
4. Provides communication/education regarding standards, regulations, developments in Quality Management to medical staff, hospital staff, department employees.
5. Coordinates comprehensive review/ analysis of services provided by medical staff, hospital staff in order to ensure appropriate utilization of resources and identification of problems and or risks.
6. Established/maintains effective working relationships with medical staff and hospital personnel.
7. Has a working knowledge of JCAHO, CQI principles and Title 22.
8. Assesses clinical issues relating to risk management and refers case as appropriate to COO for risk management review.
9. Evaluates activities of departments for compliance with JCAHO standards.
10. Participates in orientation of new and current employees regarding QRM Department/Risk Management Program.
11. Acts as liaison between departments, administration and medical staff.
12. Performs other duties as assigned.

A. Employee must meet physical and mental requirements as identified by the physical activity evaluation form
Qualifications: Minimum Education: Education necessary to obtain RN license in the state of California and current CA RN License. MBA preferred.
B. Minimum Experience: 2 – 4 years experience in at lease one of the following areas: quality assurance, utilization review or risk management preferred.
