Family-owned food manufacturing company seeking a Food Safety and Quality Assurance professional who will take charge of food safety programs and documentation. Will work with management and floor supervisors to ensure compliance with all regulations and in-house policies. Must be a self-starter and work well independently. Ideal candidate will appreciate family business environment and be willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done.
Essential Job Functions:
Quality checks and inspections to ensure compliance with GMPs, SOPs, etc.
Training of employees regarding food safety and quality as it pertains to their job functions
Oversee sanitation tasks
Facilitate internal and third-party audits
Assist in ingredient procurement and oversee the supplier approval process
Record non-conformances and communicates with appropriate parties
Investigate quality issues and consumer complaints
Ensure that food safety, legality and quality standards are maintained at all times
Aid in research and implementation for continuous improvement
Other tasks as requested
Training/Education:
PCQI/FDQI certified and/or equivalent experience required
