QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER is responsible for the implementation of policies and procedures to ensure adherence to production quality standards. Monitors and audits process, material, and product testing against established standards and conducts a continuous analysis of quality defects and deviations. Being a QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER identifies deficiencies or gaps in testing activities and develops solutions to ensure adequate and robust quality processes. Optimizes processes to comply with existing and new regulatory requirements. Additionally, QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions.   • We are seeking a driven individual with a passion for the cereal industry. One of our clients is looking to add a strong Quality Assurance Manager to their team. Responsibilities include


    1) Ensure proper implementation, effectiveness, and execution of all GMP, SOPS, HACCP Plans and other policies related to food safety

    2) Audit preparation for quality and food safety programs, including SQF, Organic, Non-GMO, PEEPEV, GFCO and Preventative Control Programs

    3) Be responsible for the training of Quality Control Technicians, new procedures and CCPs

    4) Conduct simulated recalls and ensure the identification, labeling and traceability system is working as planned

    5) Ensure all food safety-related documents and records are verified and are current

    6) Communicate with other departments regarding actions taken to resolve non-compliance issues

    7) Oversee SQF food safety and quality code level plan at the company

    8) Review and keep logbooks to ensure they are accurate and up-to-date

    9) Be responsible for validation of the SQF plan to prove its effectiveness

    10) Perform risk assessments when a new product is introduced, or a process is changed to ensure they pose no risk to plant food safety

    11) Update and maintain Organic, Non-GMO, PEEPEV, GFCO and Preventive Control Programs

    12) Perform internal audits

    13) Ensure proper implementation, effectiveness, and carry out of all GMPs, SSOPs, HACCP plan, SQF and other food safety-related policies

    14) Update and train laboratory procedures

    15) Assist with ERP implementation

    16) Input recipes in the NF Program


    Critical Requirements


    1) A university degree is required. Although all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with degrees in a relevant field

    2) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)

    3) Recent experience in the cereal industry is strongly preferred

    4) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in quality assurance management
