QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER is responsible for the implementation of policies and procedures to ensure adherence to production quality standards. Monitors and audits process, material, and product testing against established standards and conducts a continuous analysis of quality defects and deviations. Being a QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER identifies deficiencies or gaps in testing activities and develops solutions to ensure adequate and robust quality processes. Optimizes processes to comply with existing and new regulatory requirements. Additionally, QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.   • SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:

    The Quality Manageris responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining and managing the quality control systems and processes designed to ensure part conformity to customer specifications. This position is also a key participant and leader in the continuous improvement efforts of the plant’s products, processes and the QMS. The position manages all quality functions. This position is a highly visible and responsible role that is accountable to uphold the quality standards of the organization while working to meet the goals of the business.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    · Approving quality standard for parts.

    · Support CAR activity.

    · Train systems, standards and tools.

    · Department organizational development.

    · Various Engineering/Manufacturing Topics.

    · IATF Lead

    · New Customer Audit Lead

    · And, any additional duties that may be assigned by Management.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

    • Knowledge and ability to train others to quality issue as they arise.

    • Strong working knowledge of quality systems and ISO/TS standards.
    • Ability to lead by example and motivate people so as to create a challenging, empowering, and collaborative working environment; and, ability to provide leadership in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
    • Ability to deal comfortably with all levels within the organization; ability to contribute in a cross functional collaborative environment.
    • Ability to travel to customers and vendors when necessary.

    EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

    · BS Degree in business, management or other related discipline.

    · At least 7 -10 years progressive experience in Quality Management. Preferably automotive environment.

    · Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    Normal work environment - office, factory and store room with minimal exposure to noise, odors, dust and drafts. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; balance and stoop; and push pull, transfer, move, lift up to 25 lbs and occasionally 35 lbs. The employee must regularly stand; walk and reach with hands and arms.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $77,121.00 - $101,977.00 per year
