QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER is responsible for the implementation of policies and procedures to ensure adherence to production quality standards. Monitors and audits process, material, and product testing against established standards and conducts a continuous analysis of quality defects and deviations. Being a QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER identifies deficiencies or gaps in testing activities and develops solutions to ensure adequate and robust quality processes. Optimizes processes to comply with existing and new regulatory requirements. Additionally, QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director.     This position serves as the Quality Assurance Journeyman and the Western Range Quality Assurance lead and will provide quality program support.   This person will report directly to the Quality Assurance Subject Matter Expert (SME) and the Western Range Deputy Program Director and will work with the EWOCS Quality Assurance SME to ensure compliance and readiness of the EWOCS quality assurance program. 

    Responsibilities

    • Knowledgeable and familiar on all aspects of the Quality Management System (QMS). 
    • Knowledgeable and familiar with risk management principles as they relate to compliance to ISO 9001 QMS standards. 
    • This position operates cross-functionally and in partnership with the full spectrum of IT operations and support.
    • Works with the QA SME to develop and maintain a robust Quality Assurance Program.
    • Works with the QA SME to develop, collect, and maintain policies and procedures that govern the quality management system.
    • When necessary, works collaboratively across the contract to ensure collaboration with the leadership team to ensure the success of the quality management system. 
    • When necessary, works independently to ensure implementation and execution of the Quality Management System (QMS).
    • Works with the QA SME to captures and track best practices to support continuous improvement of the QMS. 
    • Works with the QA SME to coordinate and manage updates to assigned government corrective action progress (CAR) and verification.
    • Works closely with the contract and government leadership team to establish regular quality reviews and ensure quality initiatives and efforts are tracked and completed.
    • Ensures that quality control procedures adequately evaluate products.
    • Ensures online Integrated Data Management System (IDMS) is compliant.
    • Determines if current methods and techniques result in meeting reliability standards or require modification.
    • Develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product.
    • Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place.
    • Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.
    • Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conducts quality assurance tests; and performs statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for, products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
    • Audits quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.
    • Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements.
    • Support internal and external audits, including documenting observations and may oversee implementation of corresponding Corrective and Preventative Action (CAPAs) as applicable. 
    • May be certified in lean and six-sigma quality engineering methodologies.

    Required Experience/Qualifications

    • Bachelor's with 3 - 5 years of experience or equivalent level of experience and/or education.
    • Broad understanding of technical principles, theories and concepts of Quality Assurance.
    • Basic understanding of quality systems, preferably in IT arena. 
    • Experience with written and verbal communications.
    • Experience working under only general direction.
    • Ability to work cross-functionally and to develop and maintain strong business relationships.
    • Familiarity with Quality Assurance processes
    • Ability to exercise accurate judgement and be able to evaluate information critically and determine courses of action.
    • Committed to quality and continuous improvement.
    • Computer skills with Word, Excel, and Outlook and other electronic systems as well as online data repositories and IDMS.
    • Detail oriented team player with effective planning, organization, time-management, and execution skills.
    • Familiarity with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) tools and methodologies, research techniques and methodologies such as six sigma and Kaizen to improve process quality is a plus. 
    • Ability to perform quality review and approval of standard operating procedures and work instructions as applicable.

    SALARY RANGE:

    Salary Minimum: $65,000Salary Mid: $80,000Salary Maximum: $95,000
