We are seeking a meticulous Quality Assurance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards through meticulous testing and analysis.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Responsible for monitoring and documentation of all Quality Control Points on the production line (e.g. weight, label height, lot code).
· Report and document all simple corrective deviations in food safety/food quality to production department.
· Complete and maintain all QA and food safety production reports.
· Responsible for maintaining the Finished Product Retention Program.
· Hold and document products that are out of specification.
· Perform routine Laboratory Testing (i.e. pH, brix, water activity, acidity titration, viscosity, etc.).
· Perform daily calibration and documentation of laboratory equipment.
· Monitor and order laboratory supplies when supplies are low, within appropriate min/max inventory levels.
· Perform all ATP, allergen, and gluten free testing after the sanitation process.
· Scan all Certificates of Analysis (COAs) and save files into the network drive.
· Follow-up with vendors when missing COAs.
· Download temperature from data loggers and log in GoHACCP.
· Create COAs for Quality Assurance Manager to review.
· Log foreign material and glass breakage logs.
· Approve and log incoming labels.
· Perform monthly inspections (e.g. brittle plastic, food safety, magnet strength, etc.).
· Perform environmental swabbing on a scheduled basis.
· Understand and follow all Good Manufacturing Processes (GMPs) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) guidelines and rules at all times.
REQUIREMENTS:
· At least 18 years of age.
· Must be able to work at a very fast pace.
· Must be able to lift 50lbs on a regular basis.
· Must be able to stand 8 hours (with breaks).
· Must be able to bend and twist.
· Must be able to lift from floor, overhead, and above shoulders.
· Must have reliable transportation, be punctual, and maintain good attendance.
· Ability to communicate with all other departments, managers, and employees.
· At least 1 or more years of QA/QC, production and/or warehouse experience.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
· Position is in a warehouse facility with temperatures based on normal environmental conditions.
· Hearing protection and safety glasses are provided and required.
· Work surfaces are primarily concrete with anti-fatigue mats provided where feasible.
· Employees are exposed to moving mechanical parts at times.
· Noise level is usually loud.
