    Job Description

    Conducts quality assurance audits of new and existing processes and products, detects quality problems, monitors and records the results from processes and procedures, compares the results to predetermined expected ranges, and takes corrective measures to improve operational processes when measurements are found to deviate from standards.

    Use data analysis, technical writing, and document control skills to support the department with document control and quality audits, ensuring both internal and external regulations and standards are adhered to. Coordinates and conducts all aspects of employee health.

    • Collects and analyzes data on company processes and products, and arranges the data in reports for management
    • Verifies logs, databases and other data to track quality concerns and improvements
    • Investigates and diagnoses quality complaints, tracks down components, and recommends corrective actions to improve processes and practices
    • Assists the Chief Compliance Officer with corrective action tasks, and follow up with the department to ensure corrective action tasks are completed
    • Tracks document change controls, revisions, and dates; and supports finding supporting reference documents
    • Checks the implementation of the quality system to ensure the ongoing reliability of the manufacturing process.
    • Writes, maintains, and distributes quality assurance auditing and manufacturing documentation
    • Employee Health
    • Maintains Vaccines in cold chain
    • Performs site visits and reports
    • OSHA and medical equipment review
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Current unrestricted license to practice as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in the State of Texas from an accredited school of nursing.
    • Experience in Compliance/Quality preferred
    • Preferred general or community health nursing experience
    • Mental and physical health sufficient to meet the demands of the position
    • Requires a valid Texas Drivers License, appropriate driving record and auto liability insurance that meets the minimum required by State of Texas statute
    • The ability to properly facilitate engaging meetings
    • Energetic, critical-thinking and creative individual with high ethical standards and an appropriate professional image.
    • The ability to work on multiple tasks/initiatives simultaneously, independently and effectively under pressure
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
    • Demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills also required
    • Superior organizational and problem solving skills
    • Knowledge of basic principles of health promotion, prevention and motivation
    • Knowledge of medical terminology and appropriate abbreviations
    • Demonstrates knowledge of the Texas Nursing Practice Act
    • Ability to read and comprehend medical instructions

     

    Physical Requirements

    Requires sitting, standing and walking for extensive periods of time.  Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours.  Requires frequent exposure to communicable diseases, body fluids, toxic substances, medicinal preparations and other conditions common to a clinic environment.

    The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.  Ability to work with a moderate noise level in the work environment is required.

    The occupant may, at times, lift and/or move objects up to 30 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
