Quality Assurance Nurse evaluates the quality of patient care. Monitors compliance with current laws, process improvements, and implementation of clinical best practices. Being a Quality Assurance Nurse reviews and analyzes customer complaints. May need to help train staff on new or improved clinical practices. Additionally, Quality Assurance Nurse requires an associate's degree/bachelor's degree and is licensed to practice nursing. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. To be a Quality Assurance Nurse typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience. Gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     Job Description

    - Conduct case file and record reviews for compliance and identifying opportunities for improvement or corrective actions

    - Ensuring contractual performance expectations are met.

    - Review quality assurance standards, study existing policies and procedures, and interview personnel and participants to evaluate effectiveness of quality assurance programs.

    - Submit weekly quality assurance reports

    - Present consistent feedback to management regarding areas that need improvement. 

    - Create, implement, and monitor standard operating procedures

    - Ensure 100% of clients participate in the client satisfaction survey

    - Ensure all clients receive a return call within 24 hours of calling and leaving a message

    Qualifications

     - Self-motivated and flexible team player.

    - Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

    - Knowledge of quality assurance procedures and federal, state, and local coalition laws and mandates.

    - Take pride in your computer and data management skills.

    - Understand eligibility determination processes and filing procedures.

     - Associate degree or higher in human services, education, psychology, sociology, or a related field and two years of related experience and are ready to make an impact.
