Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Assurance Technician to join our team. As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety. You will be responsible for conducting inspections, performing tests, and analyzing data to identify any deviations or non-conformities. This is a vital position within our organization that requires strong attention to detail and a thorough understanding of quality control processes.
Duties:
- Conduct inspections and tests on raw materials, in-process components, and finished products
- Analyze test results and compare them to established specifications
- Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to ensure accurate measurements
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions to perform quality control activities
- Document all inspection and test results accurately and maintain detailed records
- Identify any non-conformities or deviations from specifications and report them to the appropriate personnel
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions
- Participate in internal audits and assist with external audits as needed
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or training in quality assurance is preferred
- Proven experience working in a quality assurance or quality control role
- Strong knowledge of quality control processes, procedures, and methodologies
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and CMMs
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to analyze data and identify trends or patterns
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and precision
- Strong understanding of FDA regulations, CGMP guidelines, HACCP principles, and other relevant quality standards
- Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
