    This position is for a Quality Assurance Technician who works under general supervision. Conducts basic quality analyses and inspections and analyzes corrective actions. Reviews Quality Assurance materials to ensure alignment with regulatory standards. Self-directed to orient, train, and/or assign work of business support employees and peers.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Works under general supervision to assist with the development and implementation of program quality plans and procedures
    • Reviews testing plans, methods and equipment to assure reliability of products in conjunction with product design and specifications.
    • Reviews quality data and determines if products and processes are aligned with regulatory standards and customer requirements.
    • Analyzes corrective actions and process reengineering.
    • Conducts basic to moderately complex quality analyses and inspections.
    • Reviews flowcharts, forms, data records, communications and audits prepared by lower level staff for quality implementation and compliance.
    • Perform First Article Inspection (FAI) for the business unit in accordance with Collins quality policies and procedures, compiles information and prepares reports result
    • Will travel approximately 30% of the time to Collins sites across US and Mexicali, Baja California

    Qualifications/Experience Needed:

    • Experience using measurement hand tools
    • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics
    • Inspection and audit experience of products and/or processes
    • Typically requires HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or in the absence of a HS diploma, GED or AA/AS degree, 4 years of relevant experience is required.
    • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • FAI (first article inspection) experience
    • Manufacturing experience
    • Knowledge of Continuous Improvement processes
    • SENTRI fast pass

    The salary range for this role is 39,000 USD - 79,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
