Job Title: Cath Lab Registered Nurse Location: Coos Bay, Oregon

Description: We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our team at Bay Area Hospital in Coos Bay, Oregon. As a Cath Lab RN, you will be responsible for applying the nursing process to the care of patients within the RN scope of practice as defined by the Oregon State Board of Nursing. This includes providing patient care, teaching patients and their families, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate overall patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide patient care within the scope of practice
• Teach patients and their families
• Document patient care in the medical record
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate overall patient care

Qualifications:

• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Oregon (Required)
• American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Required)
• Cardiac Cath Lab RN experience (Required)
• Recent acute care hospital experience within the past 5 years (Preferred)

Skills and Abilities:

• Able to read, write legibly, and converse effectively in the English language
• Exhibits critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Flexible and able to prioritize and adapt to rapidly-changing patient and unit needs
• Demonstrates effective teaching skills
• Responds effectively to patient crisis/emergency situations
• Proficient in the use of computers, including accessing the internet and word processing
• Maintains regular, consistent, and punctual attendance
• Must have the ability to communicate effectively through reading, writing, and speaking in person or on the telephone
• Must demonstrate manual dexterity

Additional Information:

• This is a full-time position.
• Possible on-call and weekend shifts may be required.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association is necessary.
