Being a Quality Assurance Nurse, Sr. reviews and analyzes customer complaints. Helps train staff on new or improved clinical practices. Additionally, Quality Assurance Nurse, Sr. requires an associate's degree/bachelor's degree and is licensed to practice nursing. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. To be a Quality Assurance Nurse, Sr. typically requires 4 to 7 years of related experience. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. · Monitors documentation for appropriateness of care.
· Monitors and analyzes QA/PI issues
· Promotes compliance through education and coaching.
· Promotes and educates regarding the concepts of infection control and standard precautions
· In collaboration with management, develops, implements, and revises policies, procedures, and practices designed to ensure compliance
· Independently investigates and acts on matters related to compliance
· Responsible for conducting an ongoing comprehensive and integrated assessment of the quality and appropriateness of the care provided
· Aggregates and trends data collected to correct identified problems in collaboration with management
· Monitors all service providers for effective interchange and coordination of care in providing care
· Demonstrates knowledge of, and ensures compliance with, all local, state and federal laws relating to the operations of the Hospice
· Resolves documentation issues and recommend changes to procedures
· Analyzes, reviews and reports on quality indicators
