Summary: The QA Specialist is an entry level position that will assist the QA Manager in managing the flow of process deviation investigations and quality hold resolutions. As needed, will support projects related to new or changing products. The QA Specialist will support, maintain and update several processes, including environmental testing, reporting, product sampling, and ingredient testing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
1. Manage, maintain, and update a database of information/documentation related to ingredients and finished goods.
2. Manage, maintain, and update testing schedules with production information.
3. Provide management with appropriate information related to quality.
4. Complete pre-audit facility questionnaires in a timely manner.
5. Interpret/report testing results against specifications and interaction with management.
6. Perform quality and food safety related testing as needed.
7. Behave in a professional manner that always represents the Company in the highest ethical standard.
8. Collect/prepare samples for management review and sensory evaluation.
9. Provide support to lab staff as needed, and deploy investigations as appropriately assigned or requested.

Requirements
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma required.
• 0-2 years (entry level).
Education and/or Experience:
• Proficiency in MS Excel and Word are necessary.
