    Developmental Disabilities Quality Assurance Specialist
    Developmental Disabilities Department (Classification 719)
    Management/Exempt Full Time (37.5 hours/week) position

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    Basic knowledge of Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities and/or Mental Health Services and supports.
    Coordinate and ensure the provision of protective services for adult LCDD/Linn County Mental Health
    (LCMH) clients. Screen, conduct interviews, on- site observations and record reviews as related to
    potentially complex and/or sensitive abuse allegations and investigations in an array of service settings.
    May include interaction with medical, law enforcement and mental health and/or developmental disability
    field personnel. Completion of written electronic technical reports with high level attention to detail to
    determine abuse investigation findings in accordance with Oregon Administrative Rule and Oregon Revised
    Statute definitions.
    Knowledge of the principles and practices of case management and the public service system. Knowledge
    of crisis intervention techniques. Ability to conduct protective service/abuse investigation interviews.
    Knowledge of the laws and Administrative Rules governing the services provided by the Office of
    Developmental Disabilities and/or Oregon Health Authority and ability to understand and interpret those
    laws as it relates to service delivery. Ability to write clear and concise reports and client summaries. Ability
    to quickly develop and maintain effective working relationships with department staff, consumers, the
    public, and contract providers. Be able to attend work regularly. Computer skills required including the use
    of an electronic health record for service documentation.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
    Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or closely related behavior science field; or an
    associate degree with 4 years investigative experience with a preference for experience in a disability service
    program involving individuals with developmental disabilities; experience working with individuals who
    experience a mental illness; or any satisfactory equivalent combination of experience, education and training
    which demonstrates the ability to perform the work described. Applicants must be able to pass a criminal
    history check, possess a valid Oregon drivers' license with an acceptable driving record and be free from any
    substantiated abuse allegation.
