Quality Control Analyst performs various scientific analyses to evaluate the quality of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished goods and ensure compliance with established standards. Conducts and validates various biological and chemical quality control (QC) assays. Being a Quality Control Analyst compiles, interprets, and documents statistical data from testing processes to either confirm compliance with established quality standards or identify deviations. May be responsible for establishing specifications for conducting assays and writing standard operating procedures. Additionally, Quality Control Analyst typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Quality Control Analyst work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES / COMPETENCIES
1. Provide support to Quality Control Department by performing the following testing for materials and products:
• Endotoxin testing (LAL)
• Force
• Contact Angle
2. Conduct routine and non-routine analysis of raw materials, in-process items and finished product according to established operating procedures.
3. Compile data for documentation of test procedures that may include stability program testing and formulation studies.
4. Participate in the preparation of investigations, summaries and reports. Reviews data obtained for compliance to specifications and reports abnormalities.
5. Revise and updates standard operating procedures as needed.
6. Responsible for daily log activities including GLP compliance, compliance with safety regulations and maintenance of appropriate levels of needed lab supplies and equipment.
7. Project tracking and coordination.
8. Participation in validation/qualification activities
9. Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION & TRAINING
• High School diploma or GED.
• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in a science curriculum preferred.
EXPERIENCE
• FDA regulated industry (food, pharmaceutical or medical device) experience is required.
• Minimum of 3 years relevant experience required.
SKILLS
• Proficient in MS Office applications, especially Excel and Word.
• Strong work ethic and organizational skills.
• Laboratory skills required.
Pay range: $67-$80k - Final compensation/salary will be depend on experience.
