Quality Control Analyst performs various scientific analyses to evaluate the quality of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished goods and ensure compliance with established standards. Conducts and validates various biological and chemical quality control (QC) assays. Being a Quality Control Analyst compiles, interprets, and documents statistical data from testing processes to either confirm compliance with established quality standards or identify deviations. May be responsible for establishing specifications for conducting assays and writing standard operating procedures. Additionally, Quality Control Analyst typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Quality Control Analyst work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role.     Overview

    Summary:
    The Quality Assurance Analyst will execute exploratory tests of forms vs. coverages in order to ensure product quality. The QA Analyst will have experience in ISO, Pro-Metrix and Sage/Ref Connect/NCCI/other WC bureaus. Will interact with his/her supervisor as needed, but many activities will require independent thought and decision making.

    Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Needs to know a minimum of WC, BOP and Auto lines of business. Typically reports to a supervisor.

    Will also be responsible for delivering quality, strategic internal projects, and performing the following essential functions:

      Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured e-mails for accuracy reviews
    • Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities of coverage forms
    • High level of collaboration and attention to detail is needed
    • Identify, record, document thoroughly and track system bugs
    • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are reported resolved
    • Participate in team process improvement to make sure everyone understands development lifecycle
    • Review and release all Rush requests
    • Other duties as assigned
    Qualifications

    Qualifications:

    Required:

    • Has at least 2 years of experience in the Commercial Package Insurance industry
    • BS/BA degree in insurance or related field
    • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
    • Effectively communicates issues with software development teams and propose solutions
    • Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive explanations of errors found
    • Can define and execute different types of forms testing
    • Proven working experience in forms/coverages quality assurance
    • Be able to work independently and with a team
