Quality Control Analyst performs various scientific analyses to evaluate the quality of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished goods and ensure compliance with established standards. Conducts and validates various biological and chemical quality control (QC) assays. Being a Quality Control Analyst compiles, interprets, and documents statistical data from testing processes to either confirm compliance with established quality standards or identify deviations. May be responsible for establishing specifications for conducting assays and writing standard operating procedures. Additionally, Quality Control Analyst typically requires a bachelor's degree. This individual will perform a variety of quality and food safety inspections and evaluations and oversee the quality of all inbound and outbound products plus maintain documentation of inspections. This role is responsible for all product compliance standards, overseeing the tagging and production control processes plus monitoring variance reports for accounting of any damage, spoilage, etc. This Coordinator will oversee packaging and transportation requirements and communicate with appropriate departments as needed. Requirements:
Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma plus a minimum of 3 years quality control and food safety experience and will be familiar with Microsoft Office applications. Candidates should have knowledge of planting, growing, and harvesting techniques of food products as well as storage and handling techniques plus understand compliance regulations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. Must have proficiency in databases and be able to learn new systems. Customer service skills, resourcefulness, organizational skills, and attention to detail are needed for this position.
Preferences: Bachelor’s degree in food safety or food science related field, experience in agriculture and bilingual in English/Spanish.
Physical: Must be able to sit for long periods of time, and travel for long periods of time for certain aspects of this job. All physical requirements will be provided during the interview process.
Salary: $65,000 – $95,000
