Quality Control Inspector jobs in Cedar Rapids, IA

Second shift opportunity for a quality-driven individual! The Metrix Company is seeking a full-time Quality Control Inspector. This position is responsible for assuring quality products by inspecting and testing materials and assembled products.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs product assessment leak testing
• Selects test samples in accordance with sampling plan from roving inspections of ongoing production and from accumulated completed subassemblies and finished product
• Performs dimensional, functional, and visual tests and inspections of raw material components, in-process products, and finished goods in accordance with Quality Control Inspection Procedures (QCIP’s)
• Completes records of testing and inspections performed
• Pulls samples and inspects incoming raw material components in accordance with Incoming Inspection Procedures
• Participates in maintaining the company’s quality system and adheres to standard operating procedures as applicable
• Initiates nonconformance (NCR) record in accordance with the Nonconformance Control procedure and completes dispositions as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent required;
• 2 years of Quality Control experience in manufacturing environment preferred.
• Must have good reading, writing, and math skills.
• Must have good hand/eye coordination to perform product testing.
• Must have at least 20/20 corrected vision.
• Lifts, carries or moves objects up to 50 pounds, with assistance if necessary.

Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
