Quality Control Inspector performs quality control inspections, checks, and tests during the manufacture of products. Inspects materials, parts and products at different stages of production. Being a Quality Control Inspector records observations and may make recommendations for improving processes. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, Quality Control Inspector typically reports to a supervisor. The Quality Control Inspector may require 0-1 year of general work experience.     Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

    The primary role of this Quality Control Inspector will be to conduct inspections, including work in process and final inspection of finished goods to ensure manufactured products conform to specifications.

    Record and maintain quality control records documenting testing and inspections.

    Perform daily reviews of in-process and final test device history records and sales orders.

    The Quality Control Inspector will support necessary investigations into non-conforming products.

    Issue Non-Conformance Reports NCRs on Non-conformances.

    Perform inspections as requested for Engineering and other departments.

    First Articles and or Courtesy inspections.

    Perform Incoming and or In-Process Inspection on mechanical and or electrical components using standard inspection equipment such as Height Gauges, Surface Plates, etc.

    Other duties and or projects assigned.



    Attributes the manager is looking for in a candidate:

    This is an entry-level position that does not require any rigorous education or extension job experience in quality control.

    The Quality Control Inspector must have good verbal communication in order to speak with the operators.

    Ability to follow directions, and read and interpret instructions.

    Good problem-solving skills with the ability and willingness to learn.

    The Quality Control Inspector is expected to follow existing processes and procedures and will be trained accordingly.

    No required technologies or software skills are required.

    Must have general computer skills with the ability to navigate Windows computer.

    Education Requirements:

    High school diploma or GED



    Physical Requirements

    Potential lifting of up to 40 lbs.

    The worker will be sitting, standing, crouching, and moving around throughout the shift hours.

    Exposure to mechanical parts, X-rays, and high-voltage electronics.

    Workers are required to wear safety shoes.



    Note:

    Shift & Shift Hours – 1st shift 7 am - 3:30 pm with some flexibility within the first shift hours.

    Potential for overtime when required.

    100% onsite at Danbury location
