  • .Summary and Objective

    The inspector is solely responsible to the Chief Inspector while accomplishing inspections in accordance with flyExclusive General Maintenance Manual.


    Essential functions

    • Ensuring all assigned inspections are properly completed in compliance with established policies and procedures.

    • Conduct receiving inspection of all components, materials, tooling, and hardware as required by the manuals and applicable FARs

    • Inspecting and evaluating work performed by AMTs, sheet metal AMTs, and avionics technicians, ensuring compliance and rework of deficiencies is performed when required.

    • Conduct RII inspections in accordance with approved procedures and maintenance program requirements.

    • Review paperwork, including but not limited to, maintenance forms, parts tags, job cards, log pages and tally sheets to ensure compliance with company manual and all applicable FARs

    • Ensuring safety procedures are followed and potential damage to customer or company property is eliminated by overseeing aircraft handling activities, including but not limited to, jacking, fueling, defueling, and towing

    • Conduct weight and balance analysis by using approved maintenance manuals and scales.

    • Perform additional duties as assigned.

    Supervisory responsibilities

    • The inspector may work with the shop personnel but cannot accomplish or give on the job training to maintenance personnel in areas that he/she is to inspect.


    Work environment

    • Exposure to loud noises including but not limited to airplane machinery and jet engines.

    • Mostly outside industrial/hangar environment


    Physical demands

    • Ability to see and hear clearly

    • Ability to read, comprehend, and speak English clearly

    • Ability to climb, twist, bend, crouch, stoop, kneel, and crawl

    • Ability to move in tight quarters

    Qualifications

    .Required education and experience

    • High school diploma or equivalent required

    • Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States, must provide two forms of Federal Identification

    • Must pass a pre-employment drug test. Ongoing employment requires participating and complying with the Anti-Drug and Alcohol Misuse Prevention Program which includes random testing.

    • FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License required.

    • 2 years of prior Quality Control Inspector experience in MRO/Aerospace Industries required

    • Requires 10 years of related experience or may need 6 years' experience with additional specialized training and/or certification.

    • Corridor experience required

    • Cessna Citation experience required

    • Extensive knowledge of all aircraft mechanical systems functions and interactions. Thorough working knowledge of all current FAA regulations, IPM and ATA codes.

    Preferred education and experience

    • It's preferred that you have at least 10 years of experience with corporate jets or show that you have the knowledge and skills needed to do the job.

    • Inspection Authorization (IA) Certification preferred
